Hello and welcome to What's the World Coming To? I'm Pastor Ken Ortize and we're launching this new podcast in an effort to try to help Christians understand the dynamics that are taking place in the world all around us. If you feel a lot of anxiety or stress over current events and the upheavals that we see taking place around the world and even within our own nation, then I hope that this podcast will bring some clarity and some comfort.

that we might be able to look at circumstances through the biblical lens and to understand that God is on the throne and he's in control. And so I would encourage you, if this resonates with you, if this is something that you feel like I need in my life or I need to be able to share with my friends to explain to them what the Bible says, that I would encourage you to subscribe to this podcast. Something that many Christians don't understand is that the Bible is made up of one third

Bible prophecies. Thirty percent, 33% of the Bible is prophecies about the future. 80% of those have already been fulfilled. So we can basically look at what God said in the past about what was at the time future events and see that He was 100% accurate. And we can look at the remaining 20% of biblical prophecies that have not yet been fulfilled, that are yet to be fulfilled in the future, and we can compare those to the events we see in the world around us.

It's my conviction that we're living in the last days. And I believe that because I see such close parallels about what God said the future had for us and what I see happening all around us. There are three big dynamics, I think, that the Bible forecasts. It talks about one world government. It talks about one world economy. And it talks about one world religious system. Things which 20 years ago seemed so impossible that nobody really took them quite literally.

And yet here we are today. We're already seeing great movements towards internationalism and globalism, major movements about economic change. In fact, in many real ways, we're living in a digital economy. And we also see the formulation of a kind of a scientific, scientism, a secular religious system that's growing up and spreading around the world in ways that we had never thought of. And so it's kind of ironic because we live in this digital age where

we find that information reaches us before the facts actually reach us. And problem is that so many of the facts that we hear today aren't really all that factual, or they've gone through such a series of lenses of changes and artificial readings that we often wonder, are they even true, or what is the truth? Well, the bottom line is that the scripture is truth, and it's an anchor that we can drop in the midst of all the sea of chaos.

And we can be moored to something that's strong and unchanging. And that's what I hope to do. And so if this somehow resonates with you, something that you feel like you would like to journey with me through, then I encourage you to go to our website, www.wtwcomingto.com You may notice that that's really kind of an abbreviation for what the world's coming to.

So we encourage you to go there to www.wtwcomingto.com and subscribe to our podcast. As you regularly check there, you'll find that there will be updates and there'll be resources available. And we do this because we really want to help you have some clarity and a sense of concern or comfort in the face of these rapidly changing world that we're living in.

And one of the things we have to remember is it was Jesus who said that we need to watch and be ready. So even though no man knows the day or the hour, Jesus said there are things that we need to watch for and there is a readiness that we should have in our hearts and our minds that we might, as Paul said at the end of 2 Timothy, that we could lift up our eyes and rejoice at the appearing of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, I've come to give you peace, not as the world gives you.

And said, because you're going to be living in troubling times, but his peace will be an anchor to our souls and the hope that we can trust in. God bless you and go in his grace.

I don't know if that's any better.
